VOLUNTEERS HELPING TO REMOVE PROPS FROM FLOODED AREA

The Show Must Go On

On January 31, due to the extreme cold temperatures our sprinkler system froze up and burst multiple sprinkler heads. The water flooded though the ceiling and the walls above and throughout our main restrooms, went through the wall into our auditorium before making its way down to our basement. In addition, a copper pipe broke in our basement pouring water and flooding more than 3/4 of our basement with up to four inches of water. There is significant damage to both our bathrooms and our basement. The damage to our auditorium is less significant but it's still going to need repairs.

Our community has come together in so many ways to help out in our time of need. Countless volunteer hours have been put into making Playhouse able to put on our upcoming production, "The Diary of Anne Frank", opening one week after the flooding to our building.

If you would like to contribute to the repairs needed to restore our bathrooms, auditorium, and basement, your donation would be very appreciated. Donations can be made here or check can be mailed to PO Box 413, York, NE 68467. If would would like to volunteer your time, please visit our Contact Us page.

We've got months of work ahead of us, but we're keeping our eyes on the blessing in the midst of the madness. We know we've got our community behind us through this journey. Thank you for being a part of our community. The Show Must Go On!
