Judy Andrews (Current term 2018-2021)
Dan Bauer (Current term 2018-2021)
Dan works at the Fairmont, NE Farmer's Cooperative and is a fireman for the McCool Fire Dept. He has six siblings and in his free time he can be found camping and working on his model trains. Dan is currently our Lead Shop Volunteer, and on the Volunteer Relations Committee. He loves volunteering at the Playhouse.
Melissa Strong (Current term 2020-2023)
Melissa works for Cornerstone Bank in their investments department. She is from Giltner, but currently calls York her home. One of her passions is ministry to youth; having served as a volunteer for Manna Resort Christian Camp. She played an integral role in the Yorkshire Playhouse Go Digital 2021 Campaign - an effort to improved our audio and video equipment in order to provide performances to virtual audiences. She serves on the Finance Committee, but can be found to be wearing many different hats on throughout the year.
Dave Hying (Current Term 2018-2021)
Having been a board member at the Yorkshire Playhouse for over 20 years, Dave has served in many capacities, most recently as our Treasurer. He has eight grandchildren and is looking forward to spending much more time with them now that he is semi-retired from H&R Block. Dave has been the Treasurer for many years and serves on the Finance Committee.
C. Danielle Deal (Current Term 2020-2023)
Danielle works at Sequoia Wealth Partners. She is a proud Aunt to her eight nieces and nephews. Danielle spends quite a bit of time around the Playhouse as she enjoys acting, directing, and working in many various roles on the production side. She has a number of responsibilities to the Yorkshire Playhouse and has been a past Board President. She is currently serving as the Vice President.
Adam Kreifels (Current Term 2019-2022)
Adam works for Grand Island Public Schools as a Kindergarten and First Grade Teacher for Wasmer Elementary. He is the father to four children; Zoe, Raima, Isaiah, and Hannah and is has been married since 1997 to Haili Kreifels. Adam and his children have been in a number of Yorkshire Productions. He enjoys keeping up with the activities of his children and fishing when he has the time. He has served on the board since 2019 and is the current President of the Board.
John I Baker, III (Current Term 2020-2023)
John works in the York College Drama Department.
Amanda Prellwitz (Current Term 2019 - 2022)
Amanda’s time in York began just a few years ago; acting for the Playhouse. She is from the Shelby area and now resides in McCool Junction. Her future husband, Dan, also serves on the board. Amanda is a dog mom and serves as a volunteer for York Adopt A Pet. She loves theatre and recently made her directorial debut at the Yorkshire Playhouse. Amanda serves as the Board Secretary.

Ruth, a young girl with big dreams, wishes to join the Round Table with King Arthur and Queen Guinevere. Her performance, while entertaining, is viewed as child’s play by the knights. Frustrated, she rushes off to find her own land to rule, but is met with danger along the way. Will this fiesty young girl be able to fight off evil with the help of her forest friends? Or will her own pride get in the way?
The Rising Stars are showcasing a fantasy adventure story during this year’s production. Don’t miss it! Only 4 performances available! Book tickets early!
Established in 2021, the Rising Stars offers teens aged 12-18 years old an opportunity to learn and grow, to perform in a mainstage production, and to become involved in community theatre.
Performances are July 30- August 2
Thursday- Friday shows doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm
Saturday and Sunday shows doors open at 1:30pm, show starts at 2pm
