Auditions for Gigi
Auditions held at York Dance Center

- 7:00-8:30 Singing and Part Reading Auditions
Auditions will consist of a prepared song, vocal sight-reading, a short dance combination and reading of parts. Please bring your calendars and be prepared to list any rehearsal conflicts you may have from June 8—August 2.
(Accompanist and CD player will be available.)
Men
- Honore – 45-60 yrs, classy, ladies man, narrator of story. *
- Gaston – 25-29 yrs, classy, worldly, Gigi’s love interest, *+
- Charles – older man, Alicia’s butler
- Manuel – 35-45 yrs., Honore’s house man *
- Sandomir - young man, Liane’s love interest, dance teacher+
- Maitre du Fresne – any age, attorney*+
- Maitre Duclos - any age, attorney*+
- Chorus Parts - various extra parts: waiters, hotel personnel, restaurant patrons, etc. *+
Women
- Gigi – 18 yrs, vivacious, matures from girl to young lady. *+
- Mamita – 50-60ish, Gigi’s grandmother, the “rock”, full of sense and hope *+
- Aunt Alicia – 40-50ish, Mamita’s sister, Gigi’s teacher, classy, graceful *+
- Liane D’Exelmans - 20-25 yrs, full of life, love interest of Gaston & Sandomir, flighty *+
- Chorus Parts - various parts of various ages: street people, restaurant patrons, Honore’s “love” interests*+
- Dancers - looking for 3-5 lead dancers within the chorus. +
All Chorus parts will play several characters

Prefer actors/actresses over 18 and a high school graduate. Actors/Actresses under 18 yrs. Must have parental signature on the audition form.

On Thursday-Friday the doors open at 7pm, shows begin at 7:30pm. On Saturday and Sunday the doors open at 1:30, shows begin at 2:00pm.
