Yorkshire Playhouse Children's Theatre Presents:
Improv and Play Reading Summer Workshops!
Mondays, 2PM - 4PM
June 10-July 15
Come join us for a fun summer of Improv and Play Reading at the Yorkshire Playhouse!
For the first time the Yorkshire Playhouse Children’s Theater, will be offering weekly workshops during the summer. Workshops this year will focus on Play Reading and Improv. All students in Grades 2-12 are encouraged to participate in this offering.
Workshops will run from 2:00 - 4:00 each Monday starting on June 10th and running through July 15th.
Parents, please let us know if your child will be attending! We’re basically just looking for a head count so we can prepare the best experience possible. Registration is not required, but encouraged. Walk-ins are welcome; so if you didn’t sign up, your kids are still welcome to attend.
We are not currently planning any performances.
Walk-ins on day of workshops are welcome. The workshops will build on what was learned during the previous week, but we hope to have a format that kids will feel comfortable walking into even if they cannot attend all the session. We will be teaching some skills they can use in theatre, but our mains goal is to provide a fun theatrical experience for them in loo of our usual children’s theatre program.
Also worth mentioning are the other opportunities to perform over the coming months. Auditions for Sense and Sensibility are June 3-5 while auditions for our Winter Show, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever are scheduled for October.
