The Yorkshire Playhouse recently lost a dear friend and dependable volunteer. It is difficult to find words adequate to portray everything she did and meant to us at the Yorkshire. Her presence, her spirit, her willingness to serve, her laugh, her energy, and her unique personality were gifts – we were richly blessed by them and we will surely miss them. Others will have to do what Marcia did, but no one will ever take her place. The family has directed memorials be sent to the Yorkshire Playhouse and we are honored to receive donations in memory of Marcia and her tireless service and devotion to the Playhouse.

Theatre is different in a Covid-19 World.
We’re adapting and attempting to create a safe environment for participants to be involved onstage, backstage, in the front of the house, and in the audience. We appreciate your patience and understanding that as the risks change so will our procedures.
We’re doing our part by asking all participants in our productions to participate in a code of conduct intended to help minimize the risk of Covid-19 among our participants and our audiences.
We will host virtual performances of our shows during the Covid-19 pandemic. We will host in-person performances whenever Community Spread of the virus in our area is low enough to responsibly do so. RED level status will automatically prohibit performances in the theatre. Masks and Distancing will happen at all Playhouse events unless the rate of transmission is incredibly low.
