Remember that feeling?

As you sit in your living room...your kitchen...your car -- it resurfaces. It may be from years ago or just a few months back but it is there nonetheless.

You begin to feel nostalgic.

You think, “I really enjoyed being in that show. It stirred something in me. It made me feel like I was bringing something to life.”

You were, in fact, doing exactly that. Taking a show from page to stage is no small matter. It is a beautifully complex process which draws all kinds of people together, and friend--you have an opportunity to be part of that again.

Next week, August 7th, 8th and 9th, you have a chance to audition for "Busybody"--a whimsically hilarious mystery featuring Mrs. Piper, a cleaning lady who discovers a dead body. She subsequently fetches the police, but when they arrive the body has disappeared. Mrs. Piper knows what she saw, but the police do not believe her--even more so when the “murdered” man shows up alive!

The are four male and four female roles available for this thrillingly entertaining production. No previous experience necessary. Here are some brief descriptions of the cast of characters:

Mrs. Piper – The sassy busybody.  A cleaning lady at a business called Chatham House, she lives in the basement with her somewhat lazy husband Fred (who does not appear in the play).  She is the one “wearing the pants” in this murder investigation.

Richard Marshall – A businessman and the boss of the company, husband to Claire, who may or may not be the dead guy.

Detective Constable Goddard – Detective Superintendent Baxter’s right-hand man.

Detective Superintendent Baxter – A police detective who reluctantly works with Mrs. Piper. Fighting a cold and Mrs Piper’s crazy antics, might prove to be too much mental strain for this noble detective.

Claire Marshall – Wife of Richard Marshall.

Open Auditions are:

Mon, August 7th 7:00-9:00pm

Tues, August 8th 6:30-8:00pm

Wed, August 9th 5:30-7:00pm

Marian Selby – The typist/secretary to Richard Marshall, for whom she harbors romantic desires.

Robert Westerby – A businessman at the office.

Vickie Reynolds – A secretary at the office.

Come join us to be reminded of why you fell in love with theatre in the first place, or fall in love for the very first time, and let “Busybody” be an experience you’ll never forget!
