You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown: Onstage This Weekend Only!

The classic Peanuts characters are performing…a musical!?

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown takes the Yorkshire Playhouse stage this weekend! This musical’s concept originated in the 1960s, when Clark Gesner began writing songs inspired by Charles M. Schultz’s famous Peanuts comic strip. Since then, the musical has been revised many times.

The musical features six of Schultz’s characters: Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Schroeder, and Snoopy. Six eager community members have taken up those roles, directed by Karla Ott (stage direction) and Ashlee Jimmerson (musical direction).

This will be the third time You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown has been performed by the Yorkshire Playhouse. It originally ran during the Playhouse’s first season, in 1973! It returned in 2012, and is one of the few musicals performed since then. You won’t want to miss this hilarious, family-friendly production!

Performance Dates:

August 3 and 4 at 7:30 pm

August 5 and 6 at 2:00 pm
