The 2026 Melodrama is a fundraising show for both the Playhouse and Wessels Living History Farm! Tickets are for sale online and at the show (if still available). Plan to buy popcorn at the performances and drop by Wessel’s Bovine Cafe!

After more than ten years, the Melodrama is back!
Wessels Living History Farm and the YP Playhouse are excited to team up to bring a Melodrama to the Wessels’ Barn. This year, Melodrama meets fairytales in this family friendly show that is sure to keep you laughing, cheering the heroes, booing the villians, and throwing popcorn throughout!

$10.00 for Kids (3-12yrs old)
Kids under 3yrs old kids are free IF they sit on a lap. (If you think your child will need a seat, please pay for a child’s ticket. Thank you!)
This year, you will also have the opportunity to get dinner with your show! Introducing the Chuck Wagon Special (Pork Sandwich, Chips and a Drink) from Wessels’ Bovine Café! Only $6 on the day of the performance.
Save $1 when you purchase a Ticket/Meal Combo ahead of time! But hurry the meal deal is only available until May 20.

Our Volunteer Box Office at the Playhouse will be staffed on Fridays May 8, 15, 22 and beginning May 25, Monday - Friday from 5:30PM to 6:30PM. The Bovine Café will open at 12PM so you can enjoy lunch before the 1PM show begins. It will reopen after our 4PM show for you to enjoy supper after the show.
This is an out of season fundraising show for both YP and Wessels with limited seating. It will take place at the Wessels Barn and seating will be open (no assigned seats). Vouchers and Membership Tickets CANNOT be used for this show.
A waiting list for any sold out show will be available, please email the Playhouse to get on that list. Please, remember our Box Office is staffed by volunteers. All sales for Production tickets are final; no refunds will be given for unused tickets. Thank you.
