The Yorkshire Playhouse is holding open auditions for it's summer comedy!
5 Male, 4 Female Roles Available for Adults and Teens (age 15-up)
Rehearsals begin June 26th
The Plot: It may be the most famous comedy of all time. The plot centers around a case of mistaken identity, manufactured by two men both claiming to be, you guessed it, Earnest! You’ll laugh along as the men try to keep up the charade, while their opposing interests and love lives threaten to undo the whole thing. Who will end up marrying whom? And who exactly is Earnest?
Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the Yorkshire Playhouse’s new rendition of an old favorite that begs and answers the frivolous question: “What’s in a name?”

Performance Dates:
October 2-4, 8-9, 11
Village life in King’s Abbot might keep the local gossips busy, but it certainly wouldn’t be described as exciting by Doctor Sheppard. There is a new neighbor in town with a Belgian accent and a propensity for growing vegetables. Doctor Sheppard is pretty sure he is a hair dresser. But when Mrs Ferrars dies, things begin to escalate quickly in one of the greatest mysteries Agatha Christie ever wrote. Don’t miss this cast of suspects and the exciting murder mystery during our fall production of “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd"! Get your tickets today!
On Thursday-Friday the doors open at 7pm, shows begin at 7:30pm. On Saturday and Sunday the doors open at 1:30, shows begin at 2:00pm.
